The SSAT (Specialist Schools and Academies Trust) schools have developed the Parental Engagement Quality Standard to recognise and celebrate schools' work with engaging parents. 

Bacon's was judged to have achieved the Gold Standard in June 2011.

Over the past 3 years we have had a sustained drive to engage parents in their children's learning and in the life of the College.  Our partnership with our parents "is of crucial importance to support every child to achieve their potential."
Parent Support Worker (Amanda Allen) is a key member of staff and both parents and staff are appreciative of the work she does: "nothing is too much trouble for her, she is calm, persistent and patient."
